Gee, I wonder where the trust of our military leaders lies? I am in no way advocating that this should become a militarily led country, but when the majority of the retired flag officers would rather back someone OTHER THAN the sitting “Commander”-in-Chief, then that should tell you something about the character of that “Commander”-in-Chief.

One last thing before the celebration of citizenship represented by the DUTY to vote – I don’t care who you vote for – because that is between you and God. I do pray that you vote your beliefs – no, you won’t find someone who exactly matches everything you believe in, but let me remind you of this: One candidate is for same-sex marriage, partial- and post-birth abortions, and hinders allies of the United States. The other candidate has a track record of being against same-sex marriage, against abortion, and does not believe in hindering the allies of the United States. And if, at this time, you are still undecided, then stay home and pack instead of voting. Pack? Yes, You should not be allowed to live here if you are still not sure who you want in charge of your future.

I’ll tell you this – after tomorrow’s election results, I will either be investing in my future or investing in lots of lead – which is basically the same thing, but in different directions. I pray that I can invest in my future.

I’m kinda torqued right now. With any intelligent thinking on your part, you are too. Or you will be by the time you finish reading this.

Bengahzi, for those of you paying attention, was a screwed up deal. An American Ambassador and three other American Citizens were killed when the Embassy was overrun by terrorists. It has come to the attention of everyone except NBC, ABC and CBS that the pResident and his administration were able, by virtue of a live video feed from one of our drones, to keep an immediate and up-to-the-minute eye on the situation. Communications were received by the administration indicating the need for help and those requests were denied – to the point of telling the ready forces to “stand down.” Ignoring that order has cost at least one Flag Officer his career.

Requests for help came long before September 11, 2012 – and the administration repeatedly denied requests for stronger security at the Embassies in the Middle East.

Two former SEALs defended the Embassy grounds for over six hours before being overrun. The nearest air base with close air support is less than an hour’s flight away, yet the administration (led by the so-called “Commander In Chief”) said “Good Night” and went to bed. After all, the pResident had to get up early the next day for his flight to Las Vegas for a campaign party, and he certainly couldn’t be bothered with details like American Lives being lost – no, wasted – by an administration with no sense of loyalty or commitment.

Of course, right after the attack it was blamed on a “spontaneous protest” over a minimally exposed YouTube video by a no-name producer. This LIE was propagated and spread by the ENTIRE administration for over two weeks before the information started leaking out through non-traditional sources. The Crime Scene lay exposed and unprotected for over three weeks before the FBI finally went in to “investigate” – and then only after a member of the media started releasing excerpts from the Ambassador’s personal diary – which the journalist found laying in the middle of the burned out Embassy Building.

And now for the really galling part.

Some members of the journalist crowd – both traditional and non-traditional – are adding the appendage “-gate” to this scandal, in the honored tradition of reminding everyone that Richard Nixon ordered a break-in and wiretap of the Democratic campaign headquarters in the Watergate Hotel during his Presidency, which was viewed as a huge scandal. As if adding “-gate” to the end of the Banghazi Sacrifice will somehow soften the news that FOUR AMERICANS WERE KILLED while the ADMINISTRATION WATCHED AND DID NOTHING. I wish to remind you all that no-one died during the Watergate Break In.

And there are still people in this country who think that Obama needs another four years as the head of this country. Or worse, the ones who are still “undecided” about who to vote for on November 6th.

If Obama is re-elected, then God save us. And we, as a country, deserve the consequences of our actions – or inaction, as the case may be.

I realize this is a late post, a lot has been happening personally and the blog falls lower on the list as things pile up.

I know there are certain voters out there who are so clueless that they are still claiming to be “undecided”. The election is ten days away, I’d hate to see your house conversation at dinner time. (“where do you wanna go?” “i dunno, where do you wanna go?”) Guess what folks, this is a hell of a lot more important than dinner. This is your country, and all the freedoms you enjoy as a citizen, including the freedom to whine and complain about the leadership. Of course, if you don’t vote, you don’t get a say in who the leaders are, so your complaint about said leadership is null and void.

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that you are, in fact, undecided. For whatever reason, you just can’t figure out who the lesser of the two evils are. Let me point you to two excellent posts that should help you figure out who the GREATER of the two evils are, and then, by process of elimination … (yes, I am ignoring the third party factors here – voting for the third party in this election is voting for the incumbent. Don’t do it. I’d hate to have to track you down and slap you for being a wuss.)

Post number one: CIA Operatives Were Denied Help During Benghazi Attack – in a nutshell, CIA ops on site were doing everything they could to protect the embassy that was under terrorist attack and their requests for help were ignored or denied.

Post number two: Petraeus Throws Obama Under The Bus. Well, all I can say is it’s about time someone threw Obama(THHO) under the bus he’s so adept at throwing others under. (Do you really think Clinton voluntarily stepped up to take the heat on this?)

Ladies and gentlemen of this country, President Nixon was impeached and hounded the rest of his life for a littel B&E and some wiretapping. No one died in the Watergate Hotel. The scandal that broke on this Republican was so memorabel that every scandal since has been tagged with the “-gate” ending. If Obama(THHO) gets out of this without so much as a slap on the wrist, then this country has fallen further than I could ever have imagined.

OK, well, it would appear that life is infringing on my posting again. I am having a blast doing cabinets again, this time from a project manager/builder account manager angle instead of getting my hands covered in sawdust and filled with splinters.

I’ve been in the industry for about mumbletymumble years or so, and I’ve even worked for this company before – but there are things that you learn because you didn’t do them that way, or didn’t do them, or weren’t aware they were done even though you saw the end results. Paperwork is one of those things. Holy tree killers, Batman – I thought the cabinet industry went through a lot of wood. I think the planning and prepping for building the cabinets kills more trees than actually making the boxes.

OK, I’m exaggerating. But not by much.

I am diggin’ the open-ended schedule, though – except for the part were I spend most of Friday evening getting caught up with what I did all week. That should change once I get a solid handle on what I’m working on. I get to drop MEG off at school (did i mention that she’s in kindergarten already? she was born what, a couple months ago, right?) and head for my first appointments or the plant or the showroom depending on where I’m needed, and when I wrap up what I need to get done, I head on over to the sister-in-love’s house and pick MEG up and take her home. Unless TMBWitW beats me to it, in which case I just head for the house.

Today when I dropped MEG off at school, there was dad dropping off his kindergartner – or maybe first grader at the most – on his Harley. I admit, I was kinda jealous. I called TMBWitW and told her what I saw. She said it would be fine, if she hadn’t picked up her Daddy’s fearlessness – that kid will do anything. If she was scared, she would hang on tight, but Mommy is afraid that the little daredevil won’t have any fear and will end up falling off the bike.

So we made a deal – when it gets to the point that Mommy gets to retire, Daddy gets to do his work on a Harley and Mommy gets to take MEG to school.

I can hardly wait.
