And a good one, at that. Learned lots of new stuff at work, and I continue to look forward to learning more and more every time I set foot in the store. The owner is a real wizard for toys in particular and sales in general; the store kind of surprises you when you walk in with how much there is and the variety of it all. It may be a while before I know even half as much as she does about what’s in the store. Then again, she has a ten year head start on me…

The real force behind the store, however, is the Head Toy Tester. She is a real cutie, about nine years old, and the biggest brown eyes you’ve ever seen. She loves nothing more than greeting her friends when they come in to see what’s new; if you want to send her into spasms of joy just ask somebody if you can give McGuire a treat.

This oil rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is going to be used, somehow, by the leftists, the environazis, and the MSM as reason to keep the US from drilling it’s own oil. Mark my words.

Arizona’s SB 1070 and related legislation will be denounced, trounced, and contrived as unconstitutional by the leftists, the presidential administration, and the amnesia-prone Napolitano, resulting in even more border issues and more unrest by illegals. Mark my words.

I don’t know what is going to happen in the future, except that in the long run God wins. No matter how many battles are fought, God wins. I do know that because of inaction at the Federal level, the state of Arizona has had to take a drastic step to protect the interests of the LEGAL citizens and LEGAL immigrants. Having state leaders call for boycotts of the state they “represent” is reprehensible. I don’t know if SB 1070 is going to work, but I do know that it is the voice of the majority in this state demanding that something be done. I don’t know if it was the right thing, but it was done. Now, we deal with the aftermath, including unrest and discord between friends; miscommunications, hurt feelings, and possibly even broken friendships. We’ll see.

Can’t tell you how great I feel, knowing that I have a full time job. Even though I have found a new position, I know that there are many out there still looking. I was going to title this post “The Dawning of a New Era” but that seemed a bit pretentious. So, instead, it’s here! The day I move up to a white collar job … again.

For those who don’t know, today I start a full-time position as the store manager for a neat little place called Kidstop Toys.

That’s right, I get to play with some pretty incredible toys all day long. AND get paid for it!

The best part? No more cab driving. TMBWitW and MEG are very happy that I am not driving a cab. MEG will be disappointed when I no longer bring home a green car. She’ll get over it, about the time toys start coming home!
