Busy Friday

Chiropractor. Arrange for MEG to be at a sitter. Purchase the right kind of plywood for a project. Close one account. Cut the ply for the project. Pick up MEG from the sitter. And TMBWitW put one last item on the list last night – “Buy your wife a new car (1967 Mustang convertible)”.

That last one doesn’t look like it’s going to be happening any time soon!

Happy Birthday to my little brother, BK – 44 today.

Oh, and a big ol’ (belated) Happy Birthday to that old scoundrel, Larry.

Chat ya later…

    Chiropractor?
Ouch. Hope he fixes what ails ya.
    About the ’67 Pony…
This may be a scenario where time is on your side. As the economy worsens, prices will fall. Like Real Estate, some of those that bought muscle cars at the top of the market are already feelin’ the pain.
Let’s see how this plays out.

The chiropractor is for what always ails me – bad choices in my youth. I visit him on a monthly basis, and I have for many years. I still haven’t paid as much for all the chiropractor visits as the deductible would have been/is now for the back surgery I was told was “exceedingly necessary” for me to not be paralyzed.

I would need the resources before I could buy a Pony, and I’ve got a whole list of items (most of them on there per TMBWitW) that we need to purchase before a Pony gets to grace the driveway. But you are correct, the collectors seem to be selling – at least, the latest collectors. The people with really deep pockets never sell – they just keep amassing their fortunes and collections.

The horse is nice, but I want a Honda Fit.

Owning a Fit is not the same as having one.

    A ’67 Mustang convertible? That’s not a new car!

    THIS is a new car!

Yah, that IS a nice, new car, Larry! I am so happy you’ve got clean new iron to tool around in.

TMBWitW would be very happy with an old, used, pristine ’67 new-to-her convertible. Ah, well. We can dream, can’t we?

Joe – I didn’t forget about you, I just never got around to replying to your comment! Fits are not the best looking things on the road, but they are fuel efficient and can carry a lot of cargo – two things I am looking at for my next automobile.

The new Fiesta is a grand and a half less and appears to be about the same car as the Fit.

    I’ll keep that in mind…
