Red On Friday – A Day Late!

December 9th, 2006 . by Cary

I know, I should have had this up yesterday. We’re kind of time-distracted around here, what with the new girl on the way and all…

Go here.

Order a shirt (or two, or five) and Wear Red on Fridays – Support Your Troops!

(I’m particulary fond of “Lightning Sharp”, the polo with the embroidered wording…):

I had my first close this week, I am very excited about that. I should have more in the next few days, God willing.

Christian Bloggers has invited me to join them – check them out and see if I’m listed yet.

We had a little bit of a yard sale today – I unloaded the compressor that kept blowing start capacitors for cheap, so I don’t have to haul it to the dump or try to salvage parts…

The baby pool isn’t growing, and the day is getting closer. Yes, I am focusing on that, because if I don’t I won’t be able to focus on anything.

I better get off this now – TMBWitW has gotten up from her nap and is now making busy sounds in another room. That’s usually my cue to go help or do something constructive besides typing on the computer…

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, and get in on the Baby Pool!

Ahh yes, the sleepless nights will be there before you know it! That’s a snappy lookin’ shirt you got there. Some genius came up with a great name for it too…lol.

    Have a great weekend Cary.

For one hundred years RED has been the color of communism, leftists, and socialists.

Do not fall for the stupid MSM trick of switching conservative / leftist colors.

Please stop promoting the idea that “red = conservative”.

Anonymous – first, your time line is off. Red had always been used to portray that which was not “good” – be it the devil, whatever.

It has also been used to represent the blood that has been spilled by those who protect others – that’s why there are red stripes on the National Ensign of the United States of America, and they have been there for over two hundred and thirty years.

Second, if the left-leaning, liberal minded, muslim-supporting MSM had been behind this, I wouldn’t be.

Third, I am not promoting the idea that “red = conservative” – I am promoting the idea that by wearing red on Fridays, we as a country can show our support for the men and women in uniform who are willing to lay their lives on the line for the freedoms we enjoy – a line, I might add, that I myself and not a few other readers of this blog have also stood on during our lives.

Fourth, you chicken, posting anonymously two weeks after the entry is a sure-fire indicator of your political leanings – and your thought processes. I have found that it’s usually left-leaning liberals who try to sneak comments in well after the fact, and the lack of follow-through thinking does not allow those anonymous late commentors to figure out that e-mail notification of new comments will out them every time.

I’ll bet you speed and swerve when you’re driving because you think you’re more important than the rest of us, too.
