Two Guys Walk Into A Bar…

I had a nice face-to-face conversation with Gawfer last night. He was in town on business, and we sat down in a St@rbuck$ and chatted. We, meaning TMBWitW and I; there is no baby yet. (Stubborn kid. I wonder where she gets that?) Anyway – we chatted for a while, on a variety of topics – several other bloggers’ names came up (Texas Fred and Jarhead John among others), we also chatted a bit about Disneyland – his family had a pass last year, TMBWitW and I missed going this year for the first time since we were married.
Gotta tell ya, his picture doesn’t do him justice – his smile is much bigger than that. His heart is much bigger, too – but there’s no picture to prove that.
Gawfer, it was good talking to you, bud. I am honored to be your friend, and blessed to be called your brother in Christ.

Douglas Gibbs and I got to meet at the Messiah program I sang at in Temecula and for me it was the thrill of a lifetime.
I’d say set up at a park in Riverside CA in the spring (before it gets too hot.)
prying1 – Bushwack is coordinating the effort; he already has a reservation for a park. His Mrs. has all the plans under control, he says, so I’ve just been watching his blog for more info.

Sorry it’s taken so long to get here, but we are currently in the Bay Area, and I’ve hi-jacked someone’s WIFI… Funny how the name of the system is Marines.
It was a pleasure meeting you and TMBWitW. I was truly honored and enjoyed our short time together. JJ was missed by the both of us, but there will be a time when we’ll all be together.
It’s funny how strangers can meet for the first time and know a bond exists far beyond our understanding. It’s good to be part of the family of God.
