Keep Your Nose Out Of Our State

July 1st, 2013 . by Cary

“I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the Constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, discipline, or exercises. This results not only from the provision that no law shall be made respecting the establishment or free exercise of religion, but from that also which reserves to the States the powers not delegated to the United States. Certainly, no power to prescribe any religious exercise or to assume authority in any religious discipline has been delegated to the General Government. It must then rest with the States.”

–Thomas Jefferson, letter to Samuel Miller, 1808

This means that the Federal Government is limited to what the Constitution says it can do. Education is not on that list. Energy Control is not on that list. Forcing people to buy insurance that they cannot afford is not on that list. Supporting foreign terrorists is not on that list.

Enough of your actions, Obama. Enough of the Government running and ruining the lives of the citizens. Time to trim this branch back to the trunk.

(private message to the NSA goons who are reading this: I am an American. I have certain rights given to me by God. Nothing you do or say will stop me from exercising those rights. I was born free, and I will die free, if need be, to do my part in assuring that future generations have that chance also)

Chat ya later…

The problem is the current administration seems to think the people and the states work for the federal government. When in actuality the federal government works for us. The president keeps forgetting “We the People” are his boss.

Another thing people keep forgetting is that we are States united into a nation, not a Nation of states. There is a difference.
