Wear Red On Friday

Well, number 10,000 came and went, and didn’t let me know who they were. Another milestone, another fabulous prize going back into the prize bin.
MEG has decided that she doesn’t need to go to sleep when everyone else does – she’ll stay up and play for quite a while before laying her head down. This would be fine, if we were independently wealthy and TMBWitW didn’t have a job to go to every morning bright and early. We’re kind of early birds – we go to bed around nine, and get up around five. MEG, however, isn’t going to sleep until 11:30 or midnight, and I get worried to the point where I stay up and listen until she falls asleep.
We are headed north for the weekend – a cousin is having a birthday party, and we’ll be up there, but back in town in time for church. Here’s praying you all have a blessed weekend yourselves.
Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, support Warriors for Innocence, and write in Cary Cartter for President in 2008!
May you all have a safe and peaceful weekend! As for your daughter’s ability to assert her independence re: sleeping habits, you may wish to visit the web site of the Journal of the American Medical Association/Pediatric Medicine.
However, physicians are still uncertain as to whether our internal clock is something which is inherent or whether it’s developed by the individual in infancy and early childhood. I hope that this is of a little help.
Veritas et Fidelis Semper
So far, the consensus is that it is a phase she is going through, and will soon outgrow.
We use Babycenter.com; TMBWitW has been following their advice and so far, so good… that, and our friend who has four daughters…
I won’t suggest a hammer or sleeping pills. I will suggest that you don’t worry about it.
As an experienced Night Owl I know for a fact that those who stay up late are brilliant, wise, and good looking although they do have a bad habit of wanting others to stay up late with them.
DO NOT go to Thesaurus.com and type in ‘Night Owl’. It will only needlessly worry you, which by your posting, I gather you already are there.
Night Owls alone are those that can really understand Psalm 8-3:

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
In this case – ‘My Daughter’ can conveniently be replaced for ‘man’ and pronouns etc. adjusted accordingly…
Hey! You know the drill. Praise God in ALL things. (Whether you like it or not)
– signed – Father of a 21 yr. old Night Owl…
P.S. Note the time of this comment…
Time of comment, indeed, Paul.
