Round Up Time
July 31st, 2008 . by CaryHas it been a week already? Wow… time flies.
First up (on the random “top of the blogrolls” generator) is Texas Fred with a reiteration on his beliefs about where the WoT should have been, and why going where we did was a mistake. Good read. Oh, and he’s on his new server, too.
In case I haven’t made this clear before, Blackfive is the site for unbiased pieces on anything military.
cube has a piece up on the BLOG about He Who Must Not Be Middle Named.
Regular Ron shares his outlook on the possible shutdown looming in September on Old Right Daily.

GuyK cuts loose on the latest campaign ad flurry over on Charming, Just Charming.
Don’t visit Steve if you have a high jealousy factor of blue skies, clean air, gorgeous panoramas and abundant wildlife. I only go there to report his entries. And yearn to hike the same trails.
Doug reports on an Early Warning Station that is in place to overlook Israel.
Did you know that if you are White then you are considered to be racist? Simply for being White? Check out American And Proud Of It for details. (full disclosure: I am considered to be a bog-dwelling, racist redneck and infidel – and darned proud of it, too!)
Jenn has the McCain ad posted that rips on Obama by comparing him to other media-made darlings.
John Starley has an excellent piece up regarding the spending habits of Congress on Fire of Liberty.
Good Thought of the Day over on Andrew Tallman’s blog.
Akinoluna reflects on what five years is.

1. Where HAS the week gone, Cary? That being said, I’ll see you tomorrow at 1000h.
2. Please tell me, and Logan, that you will be careful of your back…..and front…..and limbs….and everything else. To make life easier on TMBWintW and MEG, of course!
3. Thank You for keeping us in touch with what’s happening at the best blogs out there.
4. Love the new header.
5. A big “”thank you”” to your Chiropractor for helping you to re-enter Vertical Land.
How did you like the new Eureka season opener? I love that show by the way.
Loon:
1. I will see you then.
2. I (state your name) solemnly swear to keep all parts of my body intact for the good of the group.
3. My pleasure!
4. Have you seen all four? They rotate, you know…
5. I will pass that on to him when I see him tomorrow.
RegularRon:
I liked it, but the repeat of the “insider gets upset” thing may drag it down. That being said, the addition of the business shark, rekindling the marriage between Stark and Allison, and stretching the rules already (remember no invisibility?) is making it more interesting.
The “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” number was fun!
Us bog dwelling redneck hicks must stay together.. if not the PC police will came and take us away..
Thanks for all the work it takes to put all these links in to point us to good stuff.
BTW, the headers look good.
“We must hang together, or assuredly we will hang separately.” – Benjamin Franklin
Putting the link up is a work of enjoyment, I find so much to read sometimes I have to remind myself not to spend all day here.
Thanks, about the headers – and thanks for your hard work on them!
BlackFive is extremly conservative and anti-liberal/Democrat, they always assume the worst about anything that’s not conservative and have no problems name-calling or using derogatory language. I’d call BlackFive “pro-military” in a heartbeat but I’d never call it “unbiased”. Far, far from it…
Well, as soon as liberals can base their stance and decisions on logic and facts, vice emotion, then perhaps they too can be listed as unbiased. 🙂
Akinoluna: “Unbiased” as in, from a military standpoint – you know they are going to be coming from a conservative angle. No bias there, just all military. Heh.
Just John: As soon as liberals base their stance and decisions on logic and facts, they aren’t liberals anymore – they’re conservatives.
😀
That doesn’t make any sense. BlackFive is pro-military but written with a conservative bias. It’s not “unbiased”. It doesn’t matter what “standpoint” you are looking at it from.
My apologies. Since I am conservative, and everyone I served with was conservative, and most liberals today wouldn’t be caught dead being willing to sacrifice themselves for anyone else, I was trying to be funny about the “unbiased” part.
Sorry to confuse.
