Today In History

July 18th, 2012 . by Cary

On this date in 1969, Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy (D – MASShole) drove his car off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island and into the water. He was able to get out; his passenger drowned while he contemplated the best course of action to protect his political future.

In related news, today’s Democratic Party, in a show of solidarity and support of Kennedy’s actions, continue to drive the economic car of the United States into deeper and deeper water, while watching We the People drown as they contemplate the best political course of action.

Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment. Thankfully, Ted Kennedy is no longer around, period.

Chat ya later…
